Upon checking my hive the other day, I noticed some holes approx. 3/4 inch by 3/8 inch here and there on some of the wax foundation. I have noticed some hive beetles, but the bees seem to coral them up to the sugar water feeders. I don't know if it is from the Tennessee heat, or is something eating holes in my wax? Thank you for your thoughts.

my bees do the same thing. i think thay are using the wax some where else. we do not have beetles here. the holes kind of scared me at first but i have been told it is the bees doing it

Its common for bees to chew holes in the wax foundation, all I use is wax and see this all the time. When the time comes that they need to draw that frame they will usually fill in most of the holes with their own wax.

Thank you, friends. I didn't see anything out of the oridnary besides the holes. Besides that, they seem to be drawing out comb like crazy ( I guess there getting ready for cold weather.) I get another medium super and 10 frames any day now. I'm going up one more time while it is warm.
