I recently requeened two hives.
I did this by placing a caged queen in each hive. I let her sit for 4 days then removed the cap covering the candy. The queens where released by the bees on day 5.
On day 10 I went in for an inspection in each hive I found lots of eggs and I managed to find each queen, so I know that they have been accepted and are in there and doing their job.
However, in one hive while examing the brood nest I did find one cell with 2 eggs in it. All the other eggs I examined (and there are many many) are laid in a nice tight pattern, the eggs are placed well, at a slight angle in the center of the bottom of the cell.
Should I be concerned about the fact that I found a cell with two eggs? Perhaps the queen just made a little mistake...
