I have only been a beek since May of this year. The other day I switched the bees to a new deep super because of the old ones poor condition. In the process of transferring all the frames I didn't see any drones. Did I just over look them or is this possible? What should I do?

Assuming you have a laying queen, the hive will make all the drones it needs. In other words, if you see eggs, larva, and capped brood, don't worry.

If you are using wax foundation in the hive, there won't be a lot of drones to start with especially if the foundation was new. Foundation is designed to supress drone production. Also, if your nectar flow is over and the bees are getting ready for winter, the bees will kick all the drones outside to die. The important thing is to make sure your hive is queen-right. If you see new larvae (uncapped larvae) in the brood area, you should relax a bit because the bees are alright. Before winter, you'll need to make sure they have enough food to over-winter, but don't panic over that either. (Browse through this forum and you'll see lots on feeding bees.)
