OK, I searched, but didn't find the answer...
When making sugar water I understand that you can add either vinegar or bleach to stop the growth of the mystery molds!
How much do you put in per gallon of mixed 1:1 sugar water?
I know you can buy Honey B Healthy for this, but looking for another option.

I had issues with mold in my styrofoam feeders in the spring. When I got a handle on how much syrup the bees were going through in a given time I would take a spray bottle of Fantastic Pure Bleach and a few paper towels.
I would wipe down the inside of the feeders with a little bleach. Then I would refill the feeders and then add a few spurts of lemon concentrate to the syrup. This has worked real well for me. I havent had any mold issues at all. My syrup mix was 2.5 qts. to 5lb of sugar. I would add the lemon directly into the feeders. That way I wasnt mixing anything in the container.
