combining hives using snellgrove board

Is it ok to combine hives using snellgrove board?
Figure I could remove it after a week.

This method of combining colonies works well. I often combine by using a double screen board made from an inner cover. The newspaper method works equally well and may be easier unless you already own the board.

Newspaper method is a cinch to use and needs no additional gear and is over in a day or less
