Electronic BeeSpace (http://www.beespace.uiuc.edu/ebeespace/) is an Internet-based video curriculum resulting from BeeSpace, an NSF-funded exploration of the genetic basis of the complex honey bee social behaviors. This customizable curriculum emphasizes species biology, cutting edge molecular biology techniques, experimental design, data collection, data analysis, and extrapolation of findings to broader scientific generalizations.

This customizable curriculum includes eight hours of video-based materials and downloadable background documents drawn from the Summer, 2008 Experiencing BeeSpace workshop.

A planning guide, accessible from the home page, provides recommendations for planning presentation to different audiences (e.g. middle school science, high school science biology, high school social science, 4-H, extension, and community nature study/environmental awareness groups).

what a challenge of a year so far,
comming off of a cold winter, into a cool long spring,
the bees made it through the winter higher losses than normal, but reasonable, but took on that same loss through the spring months to cool days,
Things are better now, splits made up for my losses, and the canola is blooming everywhere. A flow that looks like it will take us right through August.
But we are again caught in a cool trend, might pull out of it next week,
heres hoping for a good long fall,
