Queen isnt laying right, she hasnt from day one. Drones scattered about, spotty egg laying. I thought laying worker but then I found the queen and she was laying, she was really small and hard to find. I havent checked the hive for 2 weeks because it rained every day, so yesterday I checked and there is no sign of the queen. None, no eggs, no brood. Im picking up a new queen tonight, not sure if I should get an Italian or carnelian queen?

I dont even have one super filled yet and its july!!!

Its all just so new and I really hope its nothing I am doing wrong?

Out here in SE PA the flow has pretty much come to a stop. Once you install the new queen you may want to start feeding if the bees have no stores.

Im in NE PA. They have some honey and pollen stored on most of the frames. I have been feeding them right along because of all the rain we have had, I will keep on doing it. I hope they can build up to be a strong colony soon!!!

Thanks :)
