What is the big deal about July 8th this year you ask.

At five minutes and six seconds after 4 AM on the July 8th this year, the time and date will be 04:05:06 07/08/09.

This will never happen again (in our lifetime).

Cool huh? Just doing my part to keep Beesource packed with important information.

As you were...

Once in a lifetime events need to be properly recognized. Thank you for the alert. I'm thinking BBQ. With Dereks' rub recipe.

I agree wholeheartedly - BBQ it is...

Of course 04:05:06 07/09/09 will not happen again in my lifetime either, so BBQ is on the docket for Thursday as well. And Friday...and Saturday...

Is life great or what?!?

Dearest Derek;

Thank you for giving my birthday the recognition it properly deserves, here on the Bee Source. :applause: I will be celebrating my <deleted> birthday this year.

I will be sleeping in that morning, as is Her Majesty's right on her B-day, but hoist a Mimosa for me, and I'll join y'all at the BBQ later! I'll bring the Texas Caviar and Shiner Bock.

I thought it was only a myth from the "this is why you're fat site"! to see a real one. well... it is.... mouthwatering. amazing.

I guess you will have to batter and fry the tiny weiners yourself for your app size pizza. good luck:popcorn:

Ah, what a lovely day!

My beloved short peoples made me breakfast in bed:

5:53 AM.

"Shhh!"

"Don't 'shh' me!"

"Be quiet!"

"Why?"

"Duh. It's Mom's BIRTHDAY. We don't want to wake her up!"

"Duh. Why not? We made her breakfast and everything!"

"Duh. Cause it's her BIRTHDAY, and she should REST. She needs her BEAUTY sleep!"

"I don't think it's going to help."

<By now, DH is strangling in his pillow, trying not to laugh.>

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!"

"WE made you breakfast. And I think you're beautiful, no matter what Dad says."

"Hey! Don't put words in MY mouth!"

It went downhill from there.

But I DID enjoy the (soggy) cinnamon toast and waaaaaaaaaaay too sweet coffee. I am told ice cream, a trip to the park, and "dinner, anywhere you want to go -- like Whataburger!" is on the agenda.

Oddly enough, after this start to the day, I DO actually feel . . . older. :pinch:

Save some of the BBQ for me!

Shoot, I missed the momentous event.

However, being ever resourceful, it suddenly hit me that July 8th will only occur--- get this--- ONE TIME this year! Cause for celebration if ever I heard one! I don't know that the heck Shiner Bock is, but hopefully a double fistful of Bass Ale will suffice as a celebratory aid.

Hambone

As long as your double fisted it will suffice.

It just happened again. 8 minutes ago. See ya'll forgot about the am and pm party.
