I just checked my two hives that I installed on April 14, and I didn't see much honey stores, a lot of pollen but not much uncapped nectar or honey. We've had a lot of rain since April, probably around 15-20 inches, especially during the poplar bloom. Sourwood is getting ready to start, should I be worried about winter if they don't get much sourwood?

You can always feed them 2:1 in the fall if you don't think they have enough stores.

This year at least in my area has been plagued with lots of rain, some hives have managed to gather, while others are just making it. Once the fall starts I usually count my losses then and join weeker hives this way increasing the chances of survival, I also feed until Christmas where and when needed.
