So far I have not had much luck with queen excluders. Compared to hives I don't have them on those hives seem to fill out faster but the queen is laying in the super. Last year I didn't use them and the queen did not move into the supers. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?

Wow, I bet if you do a search on "queen excluder" you will see one of these questions a week for the last few months with all having the same comments.
When you say fill out, do you mean fill the comb or draw comb? How are you using them? Are they filling the comb below the excluder?

Each and every time I've mentioned having one installed, I've been told to remove it. They said that the honey will be an effective queen excluder. So far, they are right.
