I wen't to rob my bees today have two supers full of honey but none of it capped.whats up!!!!I need to get this spring honey off sourwood starts in about two weeks.It has rained and rained and rained.

THAT is what happened....they won't cap it until the moisture level of the nectar is around 18%

I robbed last week and could have gotten alot more if it had been capped. I feel your pain on not capped. Hopefully a good weather week will help them dry it out and still in time for sourwood. Im taking whats not capped off tomorrow and extracting it,going to save it and feed back to them in the dearth. Im taking my hives to Westfield this weekend. Hope there is a good flow this year.

open the top of the hive and increase the airflow, that will help it get capped quicker... prop it open around 1/2 inch.... I use entrance reducers a lot as a prop.
