Hi All,
I have always wanted to have a hive or two but living in apartments and a job that keeps me on the road 2 weeks at a time has made it impossible. Well that is all changing next year as I am going to take over farming 500 of the 700 acres of the family farm from my Dad (Corn and Soybeans). I should finally have the space and time to tend to some hives. The rest of this year will be spent researching and building wooden ware. And finding a place to live as live in Colorado now and the farm is near Aurora, Nebraska. It should be an exciting year.
I plan to start with 2 or 4 nucs next spring.

Welcome Brian!

I'd say 500-700 acres might fill in your spare time between the bees....;)
The very best of luck and good fortune to you on both endeavors.

Not being nosey ( OK - maybe I am ) but I am curious as to your user name. :)

Thanks ChickenChaser,

The user name comes from my main hobbys for the last few years, Carving duck decoys and making duck calls. And I was born in 68'. So that was the user name I came up with on the first decoy carving forum I joined. And at the ripe old age of 41 I can only remember 1 user name so I use it on most forums I join.

Dekes and calls! :applause::applause::applause:

I was gettin' close with my assumptions - but not that close!

Thanks!
