I closed off top entrance...will see.

I used to have top & bottom entrance for several years now but find bees put too much pollen in the honey super, it's a nuisance when extracting, combs are still heavy, making them almost useless for next years honey frame.
What should I do?

Do you think heaving only bottom entrance will help?

Bees naturally store pollen close to the entrance of the hive because this is usually close to the brood nest. Do you use an excluder below your supers or do you give the queen free access to the supers?

After you extract you can spray water on the frames filled with pollen and replace on the colony. The water causes the pollen to ferment and the bees clean it out of the cells.

Yes

I tried the way they are, they don't seem to touch them, can't really see water do it, here it's very dry, I'm sure it evaporates in a half a day.

I am trying to move to top entrances for a pollen problem. But mine is that I have screened bottom boards and I hate to see all the pollen wasted in my trays. On my strong colony (1)(I now have five started this year) I am using a top entrance and this seems to have solved the problem for me, but I am glad you have mentioned your problem, as I am dividing this year and not harvesting honey. It might be better to move my top entrance down between the brood chambers and maybe this could solve both problems.

Thank you all!
I hope others can fill in with this pollen in honey super problem, I have put on pollen traps on two of my 5 hives, hope this
will help, if it does, I will put another two on next year.
