I did a hive inspection on a swarm I caught a month and a half ago from a neighbor beekeeprs yard, which is building and expanding fine, despite the rainy weather. I saw the queen for the first time, and I managed to take a photo of her:

The queen appears in the right of the photo (you can zoom in if you wish). The question is this: do you think that the wings of the queen are clipped (or maybe it's the angle of the photo)?
Just curious to know what you think! Thanks a lot,
Stavros

Looks like an angle issue to me since she has her head in a cell.

You are probably right: by the way if you zoom in the photo you can see eggs near the top center, and some shiny cells (ready for the queen, I guess), and an emerging bee on the center bottom. From a distance, the brood pattern looks spotty, but if you zoom in you will notice that many of the empty-looking cells actually have eggs in them. I do not worry about this queen, glad I caught her in the camera, and hopefully she has her wings!
