Shorty if you have a inside feeder or a way so they can take feed put you about a 12 oz cup of bees (not 12 oz of bees) 1 1/2 cup of bees keep them in a cool dark place keep them confined in the nuc make sure they can get plenty of air, place in the Q- cell a half day or a day before hatching. keep closed at least 4 days. At the end of the 4Th day place on sight at dark and unplug them so they can go to work the next day. Time the queen matures and mates an begins to lay (11-12 days from hatch) they will have about 75-80% of the comb built if you had plenty of feed on them make it thick not thin.
MAKE SURE YOU LET THE BEES YOU PUT IN THE NUC HAVE BEEN QUEENLESS ABOUT 12- 24 HOURS BEFORE PLACING IN QUEEN CELL
WHAT IS BEST IS COLLECT YOUR BULK QUEENLESS BEES AHEAD LET STAY QUEENLESS OVER NIGHT HAVE YOU A SPRAY BOTTLE WITH A VERY LIGHT SUGAR WATER MIX TO SPRAY THE BULK BEES TO KEEP THEM FROM FLYING PLACE IN RIP QUEEN CELL WITH CUP AND HALF BEES THEN CONFINE THEM FOR 4 DAYS IN A DARK COOL PLACE.
