piping in a swarm?

I caught a swarm yesterday (a small one) and did not see a queen. when I got them in the box I could hear one maybe piping? Does workers make any sounds close to the sound of the queen piping?

No, they don't. It was probably a small "after swarm" with a young queen. It was piping because it had recently issued from its own cell. OMHO

Well so far in my pursuit of bees so far.In feb before snow melt i herd my queen bee pipe as well.I was so excited to hear her pipe never heard in real life only on videos.Also i have heard a forager bee make loud buzzing sound and all bess outside of hive went in quickly.It was march 1st and she came back full of pollen all others were taking cleansing flights.As well excited since it was my first and only hive now i have two.
