Really, what happened with them, anyway, did they go away after the bees went down? I seem to recall you made a fence...
Every season, once the night temperatures drop, I guess the toads dig in until the first rains of Summer bring them back out again.
Before the dormant season I did manage to accumulate a five gallon bucket of yard and garden fertilizer. It smelled bad, but worked wonders on my bamboo plantings. I am keeping an eye out, to see if the Summer rains are actually the toad trigger. So far, no rain and no new toads.

Geez, even the mods are asleep.
So, Take O ff And Die:
It's the third swell, it looks humongous. It IS humongous! If you stay where you are you will be crushed, so begins a mad dash as far out to sea as possible so as to not get caught in the break. The water is being sucked out beneath you, no way, only one thing to Do:
TAKE OFF AND DIE!!!
AS you turn around, back toward the beach, you're suddenly lifted 25-30 feet on the swell, which is rapidly cresting and turning white. There is a loud HISSING sound, then the boogie board lifts and catches...AIR!! Dropping and skimming , ricocheting down the hard wall, belly slam as bottom hits, taste of salt sea water, the roaring wall of foam behind, thrusting like a slingshot...
This is a thread about TOADS, right?:p:o:ot:

Did you get that from Point Break? That sounds like when Bodhi is talking to Johnny Utah about the 50 year storm. :D

Okay, tonight I found the first toad of the season. Since there haven't been any rains, yet, I believe it has emerged early due to the amount of irrigation we use in our landscaping.

Did you find a local market for those expensive toads yet?
