Well, it seemed almost like a cut-out. I built my first tbhs way too big. Everyone said I'd have trouble handling the combs and they were right. But what big beautiful combs they were!!

The bees produced massive amounts of brood but no surplus honey. We cut the combs down and rubberbanded them into standard deep frames. These were put into Langstroths. The bees were surprisingly good natured about the process.
I did build two more TBHs. These accept standard deep frames (foundationless). I'll get natural comb in a form I can handle. We'll see about the honey.
