who don't always keep their pantry fully stocked.;)

I cook alot, but every once in awhile, I'll be out of something that I need, but I usually have something that can be substituted. I am cooking spaghetti sauce today, and I am out of onions, and since the grand-daughters are here, I really didn't want to load them up and run into town. Too much hassle with a two year and a five-year-old.
Anyway, I found a good site that has substitutions for anyone who is interested:

You need to make a cook book. Spaghetti is my favorite meal. I would eat it 3-4 times a week. But the dw has set the limit to every other Saturday. That other Saturday is this one coming up.

p.s. Thanks for the link.

Well, Derek, it turned out pretty good substituting onion powder for onions, and tomato sauce and petite diced tomatoes for tomato paste.:)

For anyone interested, you can substitute 1 tsp onion powder for 1 small onion.:D
