I just drove a couple hours to pick up 2 packages at a Dadant branch. My intention was to install them this evening after I got home, but various delays caused me to get home just before dark. I had a couple last minute details to wrap up with my two new tbh's, so I decided to wait until tomorrow to install them. The packages look to be in pretty good shape, only a handful of dead bees on the bottom. My question is, would it be o.k. to install them in the morning, or should I wait till later in the day to do it? It's supposed to be sunny and in the low 70's tomorrow followed by rain and 50's on Sunday. I'm anxious to get them in their new homes as soon as possible, and I know that many preach a late day or evening install, are there any potential problems to installing earlier in the day? All comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Early morning is a wonderful time... That is when I will be doing mine and did last year. It will give them time to learn their location and even start working... and start working on getting the TOP LADY out of her cage.

Most anytime will work. Night will work. :) But evening has the advantage that they will get more organized and less of the flying around in confusion part. With a lot of packages this can lead to more drifting.
