do i have to tilt my hive stand, the one that comes in contact with the ground? i have a screened bottom board, does this make a difference? this hive stand will be 2 feet off the ground. then my tilted landerboard and the screened bottom board on that, then the bee hives will be placed on that. sorry for the lack of terms i am calling things i dont know all of them yet.

I don't tilt my stands. I use screened bottom boards. So far, I don't have any problems.

Hives are tilted forward so moisture will run off the bottom board- out the entrance. If you have a screened bottom, no moisture collects, no need to tilt.

You don't have to tilt your hives forward if you use a SBB. I don't know if you have made your stand yet, but you should consider how tall your hive will be if the stand is 2 feet high.

I have one stand that holds 3 hives and due to the slope of the ground one end is probably 18-22 inches off of the ground. Then I have the bottom board then two deep boxes. I am 6 feet tall but even taking the first honey super off is pretty difficult when full. The bottom of the super is at about my armpits and the third super is above my head.

Just make sure there is NO tilt side to side.
