I have noticed that when Mann Lake sends me stuff they include wax paper in the boxes. I had an "Aha" moment  and lately have been putting it on the bedroom floor to protect it as I paint hive bodies. Do many suppliers send wax paper with orders, and is it intended to do double duty as a drop cloth? Adrian

If i painted bee hives in the house someone would be covering me with something. Probably not wax paper more like bandages.

Many bee suppliers used to use 'end roll' newspaper. These end rolls were plentiful and cheap. With higher costs, newspapers aren now smaller (fewer pages) and in the current economic downturn along with alternative news sources (internet) their circulations have dropped. A local newspaper was using 600 rolls/month a year ago. They are currently using 200. The result...fewer endrolls.
A recent order from one supplier came to me packed in 'unbleached' (brown) paper.
I think you will see other suppliers beginning to use different packing as well.

I use the paper between foundation sheets to start the smoker works very well. if you did not get paint on that I bet it would start a smoker very well to.
