Anyone printing their own postage on their computer? How does it work? Does it save you money? Any draw backs?

Printing postage at home is easy, saves money, and I can not think of any reason not to do it. There are 2 options I know of, one is to sign up at the USPS site, give your credit card number and you are ready to go. I print through my Paypal account, only because I keep a balance there so it’s just easier for me. You will get discounts but I won’t get specific as the rates are changing soon anyway so discounts will probably change also. I will say that if you use delivery confirmation I pay only .18 for delivery confirmation for 1st class or media mail, and is free for priority mail. I belong to a book swapping site and love this discount. Besides the discount on the postage itself you save by not having to go to the Post Office, carrier picks up at my house. USPS site has an advantage over paypal in that paypal does not offer all the shipping options. Example; priority mail small flat rate box, and a few international shipping options, but I’m happy with paypal. Just plan on taking your time the first time or two you use it. I’m a computer moron and I figured it out. If you have a computer with a printer, and a credit card anyone can do it. Good luck, and have fun. Michael
As an afterthought, if you would like to swap books paperbackswap.com (sorry I don't know how to do that link thing) is great, and if you sign up please use my name so I can get credit for the referral. (jakephil is my name there) Not just paperback books either.
