Anyone have any experience buying ammunition online? I haven't purchased any .300 H&H magnum in about 3 years and was shocked at how expensive it is around here now. I thought maybe I'd look online and see if it's cheaper.

Heck Sundance, I saw some 30-06s at Gander Mountain yesterday that was amost that high. I just may have to break out my dies and old brass.

Barry, Make sure you check the shipping. Sometimes there is little difference between local price and online after the outrageous Haz Mat fee. UPS added a HazMat fee that has boosted the price of shipping anything classed as dangerous.

If you can deal with shipping, there are some good deals. A couple years ago I bought a case of varmint rounds for a 6.5 mm rifle that was given to me. Couldn't reload it at that price even with the shipping.
