This was part of the email I got...

Hello,

First of all I want to tell you that the tractor is still available. The price of $4,200 includes all the shipping and insurance costs. The tractor looks and works like new and comes with all the original documents and attachments. I am going through a divorce with my husband and as a women I don't need this tractor. I am located in Taylor, PA and the tractor will be shipped from here. The payment will be handled securely through eBay. They will handle the financial part of this transaction, I will only take care of the shipping.

This is a typical Craigs List SCAM

On the right side of the ad you can report it.

They reappear like pimples of the rear of humanity.

A similar scam goes on at the San Francisco Craigslist. Bobcats and tractors almost brand new for $4200.00. Of course never close enough for a person to go see it and pay cash while he picks it up. They get flagged almost immediately. Sometimes its cars.

Watch for it to show up again in a couple of days. :)

When I was looking for a truck, I found one of those deals on a truck that was located in Atl. I was using carfax and was able to put two and two together. Started digging and found the truck sitting on a lot in MA somewhere for sale for about twice the price. The scammer had taken all their pics off the website along with the info and was using it on craigslist. I had it removed and saw it show up again a couple of days later somewhere else.

The best question to ask isn't the price. Just say that you'll be in the area and ask to stop by to look at the item for sale. You won't likely get a response. :)
