I am in the process of trying to switch over to plastic foundation. Is the Mann Lake Rite Cell better than Pierco? Anyone compare the two?

No major difference, and as HM said, black is the only
way to go for brood. Old guy eyes and white don't mix
for trying to see eggs.;)

To me the major difference is the cell size. Pierco deep frames are about 5.25mm while Rite cell is 5.4mm. Mann Lake PF100s (or PF120s) are 4.95mm. I want the 4.95mm.

I've had the best acceptance with Permadent. However, once you add an additional layer of beeswax, I think you equalize the differences in terms of the bees' acceptance on the other products. I've tried them all. I'm also convinced that if you want to use plastic foundation, adding wax in a necessity.
Permadent is available from Mike Block e-mail permaden@itctel.com
I'm not connected in any way with his company. I just think he's got the best plastic foundation on the market. They also sell a superior wood frame at budget prices. They don't sell a one-piece, frame/foundation in the plastic.
