I finally got to look in my hive agen on Saturday and found what i thank are queen sells. Is this normal for this time of year. They seem to be doing OK all things considered i found them last year and put them in a hive box some time in July or so. They had no time to store up so I've been feeding them all year/winter dry sugar and syrup out of a jar on top of inner cover. I think they had some brood caped but not sure i still have a lot to learn any help or suggestions would be grate. I could only look fore just a second the wend was blowing and was only 55deg or so.thanks Steve

Would seem a little early to me. Were they capped or anything inside? They will usually have empty queen cell cups in different positions of the hive. I wouldn't make too much of them unless there was something inside the cells and it may have been too cold to look.
