Yup.

Olivarez has as well as Strachan's. Koehn's did (not sure on the spelling) for one year.

I know Ray fairly well, I wonder if he would share with the "competition"? I use that term very loosely as we may only produce 10% the queens he does and have a slightly different product. Couldn't hurt to ask, but I was hoping someone on the forum may have some hands on experience.

Well if you are on good speaking terms maybe he could help and save you a lot of head aches. We've bought from him indirectly through the Alberta Beekeepers Co-op and this year we've got a sizable order thru his Hawaii outfit.

Essentially you need to get some inspection service to make sure you do not have AHB. This is done thru a lab and DNA analysis. I don't know the name of the test. Then you have to have less than 1% varroa on adult bees (alcool wash). Then you need to be free of SHB. Once you've got all those ducks lined, you can ship in a California 3 hole cage with attendants, no battery boxes. Again this is kinda my understanding of the protocol. This is not written in stone but I don't think I'm too far off the mark.

Again talk to Ray, he could save you a lot of grief and put me down for 500, june is Ok.
