How are you supposed to cut the wood parts to look like this: (dovetail hive body)
https://www.dadant.com/catalog/images/B51101l.jpg
In that picture, it has 5 indentations, so do you actually cut each one individually? Can you use a table saw or router? Do dado blades have anything to do with this, or is that for something else? What are dado blades for?
Do you know of any videos on youtube or anywhere that show some examples of cutting like this? I searched but couldn't find much, found this video:
It shows a robot doing the cutting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Aw4lElTecg
How do the people at dadant and kelley do it?

what you are talking about is a box joint
their are several websites with pictures of how to make them
you use a dado blade or it can be done with a router
I don't have a handy link, but someone will come along with one
I will point out, you can make a box with a dado joint much more easily
they don't look as snazzy but many people would argue it's actually a better joint
sorry I don't have a link for you but somebody will show up with one
look up "box joint" on google, you'll find lots of stuff
[edit] here's one

there are many more

you use a jig that guides your router.you use it to make one side of the corner then you slide the jig over the right distance and it lines up for the other side of the corner.i get several woodworking magazines and they all carry them(for making fancy drawers).woodworkiers supply or grizzly will both send you a free catalog if you visit their website i believe.if you have a decent router and decide to go this route make sure you order one that is wide enough for the size equipment you use. dado blades are many tablesaw blades that lock together so that you can cut a wide groove in one pass on a tablesaw.it is used to "notch" one board so that another fits partially inside another board.it is also used to make notches or recesses like where the frames sit at the top of a hive body.this notch is sometimes called a rabbit or maybe rabbet

Hello Samak, I thin that the referenced video, although good, is a bit intimidating. Try to find a site called Routerforums.com
There is a large amount of information. There is a reference to an old Black and Decker dovetail jig that is very much like mine and is a simple operation. Take care and have fun
