I jump around all the web sites today picking out the honey bottles I wanted picked out 2 cases from bluesky. They came to $166 but wait theres more. the shipping was $112 ground ups ( hollow empty bottle's ) OUCH
Does anyone know of a sale on bottles or rather reduced shipping going on now. I know better bee has free shipping on bulk items but they were the frosted bottles not on anything clear, just the frosted plastic.
I have gotten betterbees varity pack and its nice, but dont want 9 different sizes anymore.

glass is cheaper if you pick it up locally. Some good suppliers around here.

Sorry, this isn't going to help right now, but something to keep in mind for the future. Brushy Moutain has free shipping every year for the month of December. That is the best time to stock up on bottles.
The only other one that I was able to get shipping for fairly cheap were from Rossman Apiaries.
I think this is why so many people are switching to the plastic bottles, although I like the glass better myself.

The best rate on shipping is to buy enough so as to make one pallet, 4x4 and 8ft high. Ship truck rate. UPS bulk oversize rate is just to high and anything less than a full pallet is to high truck rate.

If you live in WA you need a local supplier - shipping with any of the carriers would be high from suppliers in the MidWest. You need to find some in CA or WA. UPS just increased rates 5.9% and fed ex increased 6.9% on Jan 5th. Plus add in fuel surcharges, rural delivery charges, residential delivery charges, etc. You need to pick some up locally.
