Sorry, I don't know how to 'do it' without a/this link: http://www.bestpriceart.com/popup/?imagename=abc_kramskoy29.JPG

Can you see 'my hives' in the background? I thought it was pretty funny, anyway; not too far off from the,.. 'original'.

Just 'contemplating' the miracle of the honeybee.

Isn't that supposed to be Brother Adam from Buckfast Abby?

Yup,...that's me,...lol. I only found this artwork while researching the art of Andrew Wyeth. :s NO, it's not Brother Adam. The painting was done by Ivan Kramskoy, a Russian artist who died in 1887. Brother Adam took care of the bees long after that; from 1920 or so.

No not 'really',..lol. It is a painting done by Ivan Kramskoi [koy]; a Russian artist.

Actually, I have been somewhat disappointed to find very little artwork done around beekeeping or beekeepers. That's why I looked up Andrew Wyeth who died recently. I liked his art/paintings. It's really too bad he couldn't have done some paintings of,.. 'ye old beekeepers' of yore,.lol. They would have been done in the somber, sad,.. dark colors of late autumn or early spring though.
