when to paint

When can you repaint the hive bodies? Would now be a good time or do you have to switch out the equipment first?

I am noticing mold growing on the north side of my hive anything to stop this? I have the hive in a full sun spot in my yard. Thanks

I have been painting 15 years and in my experience nothing stops mold completely.
Now is good time to repaint.

I always get mildew on the landing board. I swap out equipment and re-paint in the winter.

Move somewhere drier :D. Anything organic that's damp for prolonged periods will mold eventually.

I have swapped out equipment to paint and I have also painted many hives in summer while still on the hive. I just painted of a evening when exterior traffic was at a min.
