Help! Some of my hives have high mite levels. What can I treat with in cold weather to knock them back? Temps in the low 60's. Please help.

Mite-away II works for me that tempature range.

Just asking here. If he had a day in the upper 60's to low 70's and the bees were flying. Couldn't he do a powder sugar shake?
Several people I know are using the oxalic dribble method every year in December or early January. I had an opportunity to see there bees post treatment and they looked great in Feb this year. Bear in mind that these folks are in the PNW and capped brood volumes are at a minimum this time of year so most mites are in the exposed phoretic stage.

Cold weather? low 60's? That's not even cool weather around here.:) Cold weather is 20 degrees or lower. That's when I use evaporated oxalic acid.

Apiguard. No brood, so one treatment should be very effective (though it'll take longer to vaporize).

Yes! Brr... Wind chill last night made it down to 5. Yes, that's Farenheit. :)
Don't worry, I'm sure your cold weather is coming.
