This isn't bee-ish, but I thought a lot of the people here might appreciate what this guy is doing. He left NH in July and is travelling in a wagon pulled by a team of four Percheron draft horses, going whereever the wind blows, so to speak. I was lucky enough to have him pass within a quarter mile of my house... God only knows why anyone would brave Erie, PA weather this time of year! I gave him a jar of honey for the road. Hopefully his trail will be heading south soon.
If anyone else is lucky enough to be on his path, please feel free to take my empty honey jar and give him a full one of your own. He seemed to really like honey, and was interested in what type it was.
I assume he monitors his web site, so if he's headed your way and you have a warm barn or a patch of grazing grass to offer for the night, please contact him.
