When do AHB drones get kicked out?

I was pondering this question when raising a few October queens this year. Since the AHB is a tropical bee, do they kick drones out sooner and stop rearing drones sooner? If so, then raising queens this time of year makes lots of sense?

They Kick them out when ever they don't need them

Can't say about AHB but the ferals, Russians and Carniolans keep a few of them all winter, and most of them later than the Italians.

Good question. I just popped two likely AHB swarms in a box and requeened them two weeks ago. Like you, I would suspect they would kick them out earlier but I havent noticed it.
