This just goes to show you how we, the people, don't think, we just go with the 'flow'......

Ya really aught to check out the rest of the Penn and Teller bits available on the youtube link. They'll make you think, perhaps.

I dunno. Dihydrogen Monoxide is a chemical!

I couldn't even manage a smile... sorry. I see how others can find the humor but it's a little to close to home for me.
I have a large dairy account with an on-site methane digester. (in short it collects the methane fumes from the sewer ponds and turns it into energy)
Methane fumes have been a huge sore spot here in CA for a while. Now we have a tool that can turn those fumes into free energy and we can't use it because???? The exhaust fumes from the generator contain trace amounts of the same harmful elements that are being released into the air by our sewer ponds.
This in the state where energy was an issue before the rest of the nation even thought about an energy crisis.

Sheesh..tough crowd!

Let me try to oversimplify this for you in case you are not already sufficiently confused. Cow Pollinator, you are trapping a very active greenhouse gas, methane and more or less attempting to destroy it, by converting it into heat and carbon dioxide (a much less active greenhouse gas that we consume by the boat load in carbonated soft drinks, beer and sparkling wines). You are producing... excuse me, you intended to produce alternative energy in a sustainable manner with this waste methane. And because you have a very small amount of methane that is lost or not converted, you cannot trap/destroy any, you are then forced by the state to just pass this gas, (Sorry, I can't pass up the opportunity for a pun) into the atmosphere.
This just backs up my often continuous contention that the left is not serous about solutions they just want issues they can demagogue.
BTW, I often use the dihydrogen monoxide ruse to prove to people what South ends of North facing cows they really are.

You especially should find it humorous,if only for the irony. The same brilliant folks who would vote to ban water are the same folks who are most concerned about the survival of certain frogs, snails, rodents, birds, whales and insects, while humankind is penalized for existence. Here in NC, they're pushing methane digesters for hog-waste lagoons. Why do they call those folks in California progressives?

Oh yeah... I see the irony. I'd bee rolling on the floor by now if their utter stupidity wasn't keeping others from doing something smart.
