I have screwed up that last two weeks and forgot to make my picks. I'll try to get is done this week, but I've been busy.

I am proud of my Pokes. I think they'll take your Red Raiders again this year. It was close last year, and we are a much better team this year because we have a decent defense for once. But we do have a tough schedule remaining. We still have to play 3 top 10 teams -- Tech, Texas and OU and Colorado at Colorado.

What really worries me is that they will get a big head this week and screw around and get beat by Baylor this weekend. That would be typicaly OSU football.

Very well could. It's happened with many teams. But, I really like Gundy. I know he caught a lot of flack with his rant last year, but he is tha man. If anyone is going to keep that them intact it's him. I would take him to be my coach any day. I bet T. Boone is fired up!

I have wondered whether Gundy is smart enough. Part of that is that I was in school when he was a student there. I had a roommate who was in some of the same classes as Gundy. My roommate hated him with a passion, basically because he was an arrogant jock who got away with whatever he wanted. I got to where I did not like Gundy because my roommate wouldn't shut up about him.

Basically, I've warmed up to him. I was worried that our offensive coordinator from last year (Larry Fedora) was really the brains behind the operation. But Gundy's doing a good job without Fedora.

I thought he looked goofy in the "I'm 40" rant, but I even then I thought it came from the right place. I think he really does care about his players and he was mad that a reporter had been unfair. If I had a kid who was a highschool football star, I would not hesitate for them to go play at OSU. At this point, I like Gundy a lot better than Les Miles.

But I've been an OSU fan since I was about 8 years old, and I've learned not to get too comfortable during football season. I remember going into a game with Nebraska (I think it was 1988) with Barry Sanders at running back undefeated and thinking we'd win. And I think the score was something like 35 to nothing Nebraska before we scored a point.

Losing to Baylor right about now would be about what I'm used to.

I bet T. Boone is so happy about football that he doesn't care about all the money he's lost in the last three months.
