View Full Version : Political Differences

In Tailgator the tempers can boil and hard
feelings abound. I feel it often. But I have
to tell myself that politics aside, the folks
here on BeeSource are top notch.
One of my best friends (of 50 years) is to the
right of Rush Limbaugh, and I am to the left of
Abbie Hoffman.........:). We argue, and rant at
each other til' we're literally red in the face.
We always laugh it off, and head out the door
for a day of fishing or hunting.
That friendship keeps things in perspective here for
me as well.
My apologies if my politics have "T"'s off others, we are
what we are.......;)

I think the quote "To err is human, to forgive, divine" applies very well.:)
We all are human, we all are divine. (sure hope I don't get slammed for that one.;))

NO, NO, NO....I hold a grudge forever if someone's politics differ from me. Just ask Sundance. :p ;)

If everyone agreed with me all of the time, I'd forget why I had that opinion in the first place. I like different opinions, they keep me tuned up.

None taken here. When you look at the big picture there could be no Right wingers, were it not for the left wingers. We need you Sundance, nay we must have you, for without you I am nothing.
I eagerly await the election of whats his name..."Osama bin..bin...Obama" (My Teddy K. impression is rusty.) I view BO's pending election as the greatest gift ever bestowed on the political right. I will not live to see it, but with a little luck and help enacting BO's policies, I foresee a two generation GOP dominance. Now if the Grand Old Party would only stop nominating Nerds and policy wonks.
Never loose sight of the fact that the political left and right's greatest asset id each other.

Sundance,
I can overlook your political views. What I can't take is your aversion to cholesterol. Everytime I read your "I can't eat eggs" nonsense it drives me nuts. Just have an omelet already. ;) http://www.askmen.com/sports/foodcourt_60/66_eating_well.html (In addition to info on eggs, there's pictures of hotties not a lot of clothes, so its a win-win).

Well he couldn't do less and keep bees. PETA and the Humane Society are violently anti beekeeping. Wayne Parcell the president of HSUS will not hire anyone who is not vegan.
I don't believe Mr. Dance is out to break his own rice bowl.

I don't think the GOP would look real good trying to run on a blank ticket. :D

I forget who  but a well known and respected heart doctor was on a talk show one day. He stated that he didn't eat eggs every day but when he did he downed a dozen at a time.

I have never gotten the link between PETA, and
being left politically. My bet is there are plenty
PETA rabid right wingers in their ranks.
Yes I hunt, with respect, and if I eat what I shoot
(save the occasional skunk).:)
The jest of my post was for all.......... we all need to
keep things civil and not lose sight of what we all have
in common..... Sappy I know..........

Sorry, but I haven't noticed. I know I have "T'd" off one in here, but never meant to.
I am sure it is the state of mind in which they read and how they are reading our comments. As we know, how we are writing and would have said it, is different in the way it is read. Plus that they are not going to see things the same as we do. Sadly, my wife and I never see eye to eye on politics, as well as other things.
Things are lost online when posted from what would have been said in person, and, the way it would have been said. There is nothing we can do about that, except, when we read, we ask ourselves, are we sure we understand what that person is saying. Also we have to understand that some people get fired up and will blow off steam, it is up to us not to fuel it and be the bigger person or at least smart and understanding. (dragonfly, notice I didn't say bigger man ;) :applause:)

That's okay. I've been mistaken for a man on several occasions, when posting on this very forum, due to the way I express my opinions. No offense taken at all.:) As long as you don't start referring to me as "'da man", we'll get along just fine.;)

The Three Sides of a Coin
When a disagreement occurs, it is often said to be the two sides of a coin - opposites of each other. However, there is a third side to a coin - the rim or edge. Often, neither side is totally correct. Rather, the truth lies in the middle.

I'm kicking around picking up and moving over to confusion with you guys. Things are getting a little to squirrly here in the state of denial.
