Live in Fallbrook/De Luz area of Northern San Diego and am looking for my first NUC or package.

Building a 30 bar TBH now. What is a good local strain that is gentle?

Good time to start a hive here? Any tips on avoiding the dreaded Africanized strains?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Thanks, I put an e-mail into to him and a couple of local Apiaries and some of the Pest control folks already.

Only heard back from one, Geoff at www.sandiegobees.com. He will look out for a swarm here as they are still occationally seen this late.

Did you live out here? Former Military? I was a Marine 11 years ago, now a manager in Escondido.

Thanks for the reply.

Jeremy, No, never lived in SD. I have a sister that lived in Escondido then moved to Pacific Beach 20 yrs ago. I visit often and always hit Rubio's, Alberto's, Longboards and a few other eateries. I like them fish and shrimp tacos the best. We like to grab some oysters and hit Mission bay make a big bonfire and eat oysters, drink local brew and watch the fireworks go off @ Seaworld. Good times

Do you know Tom Glen? He lives in DeLuz. He is a bee breeder that spec. in artifical insemenation. He would be a great resource. Don't have his address, he lives next to the gourd ranch.
