Raymond and his wife Ester went to the state fair every year, and every
year Raymond would say, 'Ester, I'd like to ride in that helicopter.
'Ester always replied, 'I know Raymond, but that helicopter ride is fifty
dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars'.
One year Ester and Raymond went to the fair, and Raymond said, 'Ester, I'm
82 years old. If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another
chance.'
To this, Ester replied, 'Raymond, that helicopter ride is fifty dollars,
and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.'
The pilot overheard the couple and said, 'Folks I'll make you a deal.
I'll take the both of you for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire
ride and not say a word, I won't charge you! But if you say one word, it's
fifty dollars.'
Raymond and Ester agreed and up they went. The pilot did all kinds of
fancy maneuvers, but not a word was heard. He did his daredevil tricks
over and over again, but still not a word. When they landed, the pilot
turned to Raymond and said, 'By golly, I did everything I could to get you
to yell out, but you didn't. I'm impressed!'
Ranymond replied, 'Well, to tell you the truth, I almost said something
when Ester fell out, but you know, fifty dollars is fifty dollars!

Then you need to get a good bow. I can refer you to a fine bow maker if you ever have the need. Do you eat wild hogs? They are really a good source of low fat organic meat (if you leave them to range feed). Not much good for bacon, but fine for chops, stew meat, ground meat etc.
Btw, that's a beautiful place. Lucky you.:)

I will keep that in mind. I just can't make myself spend the cash. + the month of Oct. I really have to kiss up and get the honey do's done. So I can go Nov-Dec. :D
We eat everthing we shoot. Love it all. Ennis being a Czech town we mostly mix our pork and deer meat and make klobase. The 2 pigs shot this weekend were about 15-20 lbs hogs. Little bitty. Those bad boys are going on the smoker hole in a couple of weeks.

For eating straight pork, shoot the sows that are about 75-200 pounds. Larger than that, especially boars, they can be pretty "gamey".

Well, 30 years of exposure has rubbed off on me.;) I don't kill 'em, but I do butcher and package them.;) Well, I did kill a goat once, but that's another story that you don't want to hear.;)

fifty dollars is fifty dollars!
I love it. The best jokes never let you see the punch line coming.
I had a Polish and a Jewish friend in college. They both wanted a carrier in show business as stand up comedians. They taught me how to remember a joke.
First never attempt to "memorize" a joke. They never come out right and the things that made them funny in the first place may have changed, (Like who is president).
Only remember the first 3 or 4 words of the punch line. In this case "fifty dollars is fifty dollars!"...Then you can resurrect the joke without forgetting the Punch & Judy line and customize the joke and punch line to fit the occasion, or your audience.
