OK, here is one of my favorites, you military guys might like this:
The four top brass of the military, the General of the Army, the General of the Marines, the General of the Air Force and the Admiral of the Navy, were sitting around one day talking about guts, courage and bravery.
The General of the Army pops up and says “The Army has more guts than any of you!” The others said BS, sit down and shut up. The Army General said “I’ll prove it, lets go to the firing range". He goes up to one private, “Private!!” “Yes Sir!” he replied. “I want you to run across that target range, dodging those bullets” Yes Sir!!” was the immediate reply. The soldier ran across the range and was plastered with bullets. The General says, “See that! Now that takes GUTS!”
The General of the Marines pops up and says “That’s nothing, lets go to the Marine hand grenade range”. He goes up to one private, “Private!!” “Yes Sir!” he replied. “I want you to run across that target range, dodging those hand grenades” Yes Sir!!” was the immediate reply. The soldier ran across the range and was blown to bits. The General points to that and says, “See that! Now that takes GUTS!”
The General of the Air Force pops up and says “That’s nothing, lets go to the airfield”. He goes up to one private, “Private!!” “Yes Sir!” he replied. “I want you to fly that airplane as close to the tower as you can” Yes Sir!!” was the immediate reply. The soldier jumped in the plane swings around and missed the tower by inches, makes another pass, the wing catches the tower and he crashes in a ball of fire. The General points to that and says, “See that! Now that takes GUTS!”
Finally the Admiral of the Navy has had enough of this. He says, “I’ll prove the Navy has more guts than any of you guys, lets go to the ship yards”. He goes up to one Ensign and says “Ensign!” “Yes Sir” was the immediate reply. “I want you to climb to the top of that 200 ft crane!” “Yes Sir!” was the immediate reply. Once he got to the top, the Admiral yelled up “Ensign!” “Yes Sir!” was the immediate reply. “I want you to dive off of that crane into the water!”
The Ensign looks down at the water, then looks down at the Admiral and yells “&^%$# you Admiral!!!”
