My hives are extremely light, been through another very dry summer. Did have a rainy August and the goldenrod is now in bloom, about one month later than normal.
I have had 5-6 swarms this past week and these are not small swarms. These bees act like they think its springtime. Suppose to be in the lower 40's tommorrow night.
Anyone else having these late swarms?

No Swarms in Alabama this time of year. I would consider feeding if they are light in stores. Also check your mite and beetle counts, this could cause them to swarm if overwhelmed and no food.
Strange behavier this time of year though. We have not been as dry as last year but still have lost 15 or so for various reasons, mostly beetles. just pulled the last honey for the year and yes goldenrod is late here too.
Good luck!

it could be that after enduring a season of very little food and then all of a sudden they are faced with the strongest flow of the year, they could say- hey we might stand a better chance of Survival if we divide just before flow gets going really good.
