check mite

Hi all,
So this year i used check mite. i can not put in a stikyboard right now cause i am using the menthol boards as well.
but i have a question. I checked on the menthol boards, they have been in a week, need to change but the plans is to change on Sunday when i medicate with terymycin.
Now the question. If i find alot of dead varroa, few alive but struggling in the corrigated of the menthol board does that mean the check mite is working?
If i have resistance to checkmite then there would not be alot of dead bees?
Two questions i know, but some help would be greatly appreciated please!

Do and ether roll or powdered sugar roll and then do an ether roll or powdered sugar roll to see what your mite count is after using the Checkmite for 24 hours. Then you will have some idea of the effectivness of the Checkmite. Most of your mite kill comes in the first 24 hours.
