This little number flew into our berg today. One of the few nice things about living in the middle of nowhere is that no one gets particularly excited when you walk out onto the tarmac to look at the planes. I got some video too. Turn yer speakers up REAL LOUD if ya like the sound of those big radials.

Pretty neat stuff.

There are a number of operations that do flights

One of the few things I miss about Md was seeing the Blue Angels fly each spring for the Naval Academy Commencement over the Severn R.

She's a B-25 H model, flying back from her summer home in Denver to Arizona. Really nice crew who welcomed anyone who wanted to come aboard to do so and see her.

B-25, reminds me of "30 seconds over Tokyo"

I went to a blues festival in Ft Lauderdale a couple years ago that was at a county fairground next to an airport. One of those outfits that take people up for rides in old warbirds was flying a B-29 in and out of the airport all day and it was coming right over the festival. It was WAY kool:)

Thought I'd posted the link to the photobucket album instead of a single shot of my goofy kid with his tongue sticking out. Try this.

This is one of the best shows I've ever seen....parents used to drag us up there when we were little

They used to offer rides in one or two of the old planes for not a lot of money....not clear if they still do.

great looking plane. A vanishing breed.

I loved walking around Lackland AFB when I was a kid. The parade ground is circled by old planes like that.
