yesterday against a garage door.

I don't think I have ever seen a 78 footer. That's one BIG camper.

I don't have one, but I would like to. Can you post a pic? I'd love to see it.

I have a scamper slide-in and I love it. Newer vintage ('92). You won't know if you can pull it until you check your vehicle's GVWR on the door tag against the trailer's gross weight, plus gear and especially water. I just blew a rod out on my old GMC dragging that camper over Kenosha pass after a great weekend of camping (even got my hippie wife to shoot the .357, and she LIKED it).
Personally I think Scampers, at least mine, are built well. Everything still works on mine, power, water, roof, fridge, furnace. But then it's mostly manual and low-tech.
Now my bee truck AND my camper are grounded until I find money, time and a shop to put in a new engine . But enjoy a camper, they rock. I've paid my dues backpacking, and having a sink for handwashing makes for a happy wife!

Thanks Ben..........
Seems the only major/common issue I can find it with
the doors. They tend to get out of align with time and
require the hinges rebuilt. The door can also absorb
water from the window edges and the interior section
of the door can get water logged.
I googled and found several good referenced to repair
the door.
I'll probably end up selling it. I am restoring a 1973 Argosy
26 footer and it has a higher comfort level...... gotta have
that as I morph into an old timer.
