I got out of the house around 7:00 AM this morning to move two swarm- boxes to one of my apiaries. It was the perfect morning, 49 balmy degrees and quite comfortable. I love this time of the year!
I slapped a piece of screen over the entrance of each swarm box with duct-tape already on the screen and and loaded them into the car. At 49 degrees they were hunkered down still.
I was listening to the radio about all that flooding in Florida. I do wish our beekeep friends down there the best of luck under most difficult conditions. I can't imagine 2 feet of rain in one day.
