still just one deep

I checked my hives (all two) and even though I added a second deep to both of them, there's been no activity on the second floor. They've not drawn out a single frame and it's been about a month. Anyone else have a problem like this?

Sounds like you may not have a nectar flow going. I'd start feeding 1:1 and give them a pollen patty.

I probably should also have mentioned that one of the hives swarmed over July 4 weekend.

move a couple of frames from bottom to top, honey frames would be best to give the queen some room to lay and draw them up stairs. do a search here on "pail feeder" they are cheap, effective and dont cause robbing and keep it full. good luck,mike
