Anyone watching the opening ceremony?
The drummers were very intimidating and militaristic, IMO. Then the children passing the flag to the soldiers...
Not very subtle is it?

neither is george bush attending-the first president to ever attend these ceremonies outside of the united states, and he goes to CHINA a country who's record of brutal crackdowns on anything that smells like freedom or democracy grows almost daily. some champion of freedom(he wished we believed)

Yes. Impressive. The choreography is amazing. I expected it would be.
"Daunting" is a word that comes to mind.

What a spectacular show!
After seeing the whole thing...well up to the USA in the parade. ;-)
It was an awesome spectacle. I thought that the boxes were electronically controlled. I was impressed.

Yes! That was quite amazing.
Anyone see the 4x100 Free Relay last night? Best relay ever.
I bet the French will think twice before talking smack before their next race...
Been watching the Women's Gymnastics too.
The Chinese women are really amazing. Hard to believe that they're all 16 though...
