Why is it a dollar to "book" your queens? What does "book" a queen even mean?

Velbert,
I'm over in Tulsa and I'll take one of your MHG queens when they are ready. Do you have any MHG queens ready now? I am probably going to Ft. Smith week after next for work, and I could stop by and pick one up if you have any.
Thanks
Velbert

Ross Booking the queen is for placing an order for queens early in the spring before they are ready to ship
This is so I know you are serious about purchasing your Queens that you say you want and when they come available on your preferred date they are yours.
I think when people tell you they want 30 queens for a certain date and you are limited on the amount you have this $1 book order fee lets me know they are spoken for by a serious buyer and wont sell to any body else. This also applies to the full purchase of the queen
Example I have 100 queens And you say you want all 100 queens and pay the $1 booking fee. and some one calls next day and wants a 100 Queens I would tell them I was sold out for that date.

Hi Velbert!
Booking or reserving can occur anytime through the season.Resources are required to produce quality queens. They don't just appear in a queen cage, with attendents, ready to be shipped. "Booking" or "reserving" queens facilitates quality queen production--if a queen producer knows that there's an order for queens, she/he can then allocate resources to produce them.

That is a reasonable fee to book/hold a shipping date.
I have had many calls ordering queens and the potential customer does not follow through with the purchase!
A booking fee should not be returnable.
I have thought about charging $5.00 to book non-refundable because there are a lot of queen shoppers that are non-commitable.
Which kind of breeder queen did you select from Glenn Apiaries/

Velbert: Sent the M.O. yesterday for the queens I talked to you about. ( Neal in Azle Texas) If you remember I wanted one of each race. Will they be comming at the same time? Also please don't clip the wings or mark them as I can do that myself. When will they ship? Can you please mark the race on the cage so I can tell the difference? Thanks Neal
