I found the print and background that has changed color is tireing on my old eyes.

Will we have an option to choose between themes?
This one's too hard on my eyes.

the yellow is just a bit too yellow (too bright).

I also add some peanut butter and call it 'quickie fudge' - guess that makes me crazy also.

The new look is nice.

Maybe I'll get used to it.

The dull tone is kinda, well, dull. I like the yellow though.

Why the change? The old scheme looked fine to me.

Not that I'm against change. Ha, ha.

The blue was a color I'm not using in the site. It really didn't go well with the new beesource colors.

Barry, you might want to go to this website, take the vision test and then see what they have to say about the color yellow/orange/gold. It's interesting.

Thing is, I made this test in Illustrator and used all different colors in the first box. All colors had the same result when you look at the dot on a white background. It's not just yellow. Sorry.

I find this scheme less harsh than the previous one. Everyone is different I guess.

Hey Keith, move over, I'm gettin' thrown under the bus too.;)
Evidently the blue scheme was so much better!

I like colors. This site is drab. It is about as visual exciting as a battleship-gray warship.

Bees and their nectar sources are all colorful. Why not reflect these colors on Beesource.

Here is a forum that appears to use the same software as Beesource. IMO it is much more visually attractive with it's earth tones.

By the way, San Miguel is a great, inexpensive place to visit.

I like the logo change and yellow color bar, but the white background is hard on my eyes. I find my self squinting because of the "brightness" and then turning my monitor contrast way down. Just need to remember to turn it back up when I'm thru for the other family members that use the computer after me.

I agree that the colors are rather bright. I really liked the blue, it was very "BeeSource"ish. I also liked the cute "B" bee logo, but I know there were many that wanted it changed. I don't know, I kinda think the yellow bar looks like everyone else's bee web site. The logo's cool, except that I wish her 3rd and 4th legs were exposed.

Am I too picky? Just my feeble opinions, I do appreciate all the work that's gone into this site!! Thanks

Seems like I remember a vote a while back on at least part of the new look? The "eyes" won and now we have it. So is this the minority that lost kicking up sand now?

I'm sure Barry has nothing better to do than spend every waking moment changing the site around to please everyone. What a guy!!! He just never stops giving!!

Lets try purple!!! I like purple!!! :)

Is it just me, or is there some subtle ads by google at the top?
Good for you Barry. I would have done that a long time ago.
Hope it brings in some cash.

Yea, it had to happen sooner or later. My goal is to have beesource hold it's own financially. Lots of things I want to do, but it all takes $. . . . and time!

An important point about Google ads.

. . . You acknowledge that any attempted participation or violation of any of the foregoing is a material breach of this Agreement and that we may pursue any and all applicable legal and equitable remedies against You, including an immediate suspension of Your account or termination of this Agreement, and the pursuit of all available civil or criminal remedies.
-------

So please everyone, don't do anything you wouldn't normally do with ads on any other site.

.

It is very convenient to have the links to some of my favorite supply houses right thee on the top of the page. I like to browse the catalogs and having the link right there at the top of the page reminds me to plan my next purchase. It also makes it easy to open multiple windows and do some comparison shopping.
